We got obsessed with the nutrition, not the marketing.
Nutramare was founded by David Otto, an animal nutrition specialist, not a marketer chasing a trend. He spent years in agricultural science studying how animals actually process and use food, then built a recipe around it. Everything in the bag is there because it does a job. Nothing's in it just to look good on a label.
The Premix
One part we don't make alone; on purpose.
The recipe is ours. We develop the formulation ourselves and control what goes into the bag. But every complete food needs a premix. The precise blend of vitamins, minerals and trace elements that finishes it nutritionally, and most brands just buy a standard one off the shelf. We don't. Ours is developed privately with a specialist partner in Germany, made specifically for Nutramare rather than picked from a catalogue. That means direct involvement in the formulation, quality controlled to the milligram, and a premix we can move forward as the science does, the one part where a dedicated partnership beats going it alone.
Science-led, not marketing-led
Built on digestibility, nutrient balance and long-term health. Proven through feeding trials and formulation testing, not focus groups. If an ingredient's in the bag, it earns its place. If it isn't, that's deliberate too.
No fillers, ever
No low-grade cereal bulkers, no artificial padding, nothing added just to make the list look longer. We're as selective about what stays out as what goes in. Every component is chosen for what it does, not how it reads.
Sourced for a reason
Sourcing matters as much as formulation. Our Arctic LT71 fishmeal is wild-caught whole fish, chosen for nutritional quality and responsible origin. The same thinking runs through everything else we use.
